A Whirlwind of Discovery
The itinerary provided a comprehensive look at the region’s unique cultural and educational offerings. The experience included:
- Marine & Wildlife Science: A visit to the Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island provided insight into conservation and rehabilitation efforts.
- Historical Immersion: Explorers toured historic homes and navigated the city’s haunted history through a Guided Ghost/History Bus Tour.
- Professional Hospitality: The day culminated in a Riverboat Dinner Cruise on the Savannah River, where students practiced social networking in a professional setting.
Building Professional DNA through Experience
The trip served as a powerful catalyst for career exploration, moving beyond the classroom to show students the wide variety of occupations required to sustain a major tourism and arts hub. By observing professionals who share history and art with enthusiasm, Explorers began to see how personal passion can align with a future career.
